Cody S. Mounteer

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Mounteer was a foreman for a commercial and residential construction company and worked as a podiatric surgical and office assistant.

Mr. Mounteer graduated from Weber State University where he majored in political science and minored in legal studies. While attending Weber State University, Mr. Mounteer was a member of Weber State University’s Mock Trial Team, which frequently placed in national tournaments, and where Mr. Mounteer won numerous personal awards.

Mr. Mounteer then traded the snowcapped mountains of Utah for sunny San Diego, where he attended California Western School of Law. While attending CWSL, Mr. Mounteer was the Executive Trial Chairman and Coordinator of the Moot Court Honors Board. Mr. Mounteer was also a member of the Executive Board of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, CWSL Division, and appeared on the Dean’s Honor List.

Prior to joining Marquis Aurbach Coffing, Mr. Mounteer worked for the San Diego Alternate Public Defender’s Office and a regional construction defect firm. Mr. Mounteer has also been named to the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada Pro Bono Project’s 50 and 100 Hour Clubs. Mr. Mounteer primarily practices in the areas of construction, litigation and real property.

Away from the office, Mr. Mounteer enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid outdoorsman and boating fanatic.
