Liane K. Wakayama
Liane K. Wakayama is a native Nevadan and joined the firm in 2007. Ms. Wakayama focuses her practice on general civil, commercial, real estate and trust litigation as well as estate planning, probate and guardianship. She has successfully litigated multi-million dollar disputes and has consistently obtained favorable settlements for her clients. After her second year of practice, Ms. Wakayama was honored by her peers as one of the top 100 attorneys in Southern Nevada.
As an active member of the State Bar of Nevada, Ms. Wakayama enjoys hosting educational seminars for the community where she discusses the importance of estate planning and the benefits of avoiding probate and/or guardianship proceedings.
Ms. Wakayama obtained her bachelor's of science in managerial finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2003. In 2008, Ms. Wakayama earned her juris doctor degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law, where she graduated cum laude.
While attending law school, Ms. Wakayama was awarded numerous scholarships based on academic achievement and also received CALI Awards in Criminal Law; Civil Procedure/Alternative Dispute Resolution; Immigration Law; Pretrial Litigation; and Wills, Trusts & Estates.
Prior to joining Marquis Aurbach Coffing, Ms. Wakayama completed externships with United Magistrate Judge Robert J. Johnston, the Honorable Elizabeth Gonzalez and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Ms. Wakayama also worked as a Summer Associate with MAC Law.
In her spare time, Ms. Wakayama enjoys spending time with her husband Andre, daughter Scarlet, extended family and friends. She also loves traveling, cooking, fishing, yoga, reading and writing.
